Is Salmon healthy for you?

Salmon is an oily fish whose classification depends on the ocean in which it is located.

Salmon is a great source of protein, healthy fats, and various essential vitamins and minerals. It is tasty, nutritious and rich in omega-3 fatty acids. It is a good source of potassium and is rich in vitamin B. It also contains selenium and astaxanthin. Salmon itself lessens the risk of heart disease and helps in weight management. It’s very low in saturated fat and also contains nutrients like iron and Vitamin D. 

It plays a key role in dampening inflammation.

However, pregnant women and those planning pregnancy should minimize their intake of salmon for specific reasons.
